Color: True Black

Description: WOW !

Slick black and kicking up her heels! Spiced Koal Keela stuns all who see her. She is solid black with no stray white fiber. Her conformation is flawless. Black is beautiful! Keela strutted her stuff at the 2007 Sunshine State Expo and brought home the Color Reserve Championship for Suri Black Females. Judge Wade Gease was Wow-ed by her "greasy" fiber and cool silky locks.

Keela is a full sibling to our blue ribbon grey Jr. Herdsire, Sun Greybill Boomer. Both were sired by the amazing Ransom el Platino. Keela has two generations of grey behind her.

When bred to true black Torbio son, Midnight Cowboy, Keela gave us a greasy dark grey cria that was certainly worth the wait. Rio is one HANDSOME boy with that classic Torbio density and amazing luster.

Keela's most recent cria is Spiced Madeira Mystic out of Spiced Mahogany Murdock. Keela has again given us a beautiful cria with dripping luster.

You may recognize Ransom as the top selling alpaca at the January 2004 America’s Choice Winter Production Auction in Las Vegas. Or you may know that Ransom is one of only a handful of suris to sell for well more than $100,000 at public auction.

Ransom’s sire, Principe Platino, has produced high-end grey suri offspring on his West Coast farm with perhaps his best being Ransom. His sire has contributed an amazing silver grey color, a proud physique and true macho mannerisms. His dam, who has recessive grey genetics, has provided him with a fine fleece and superb luster.

Ransom has perfect proportions from head to tail including a smooth top line, sturdy bone size, and straight legs. His locks are faultless and uniform from his neck to his toes. Plus he has excellent fiber density, which is often hard to find in grey suri.
